Crowd
(GBR 2013, Loop, no dialogue)
Co-Director: Marcia Derraik
A slight film on a major issue: Film. A random sequence of several thousand still photographs of crowds, each visible for only one frame, i.e. one twenty-fourth of a second. A duration that the human brain cannot cope with, and everyone in the audience thus experiences a different film. A cinema of discontinuity, in contrast to conventional, continuous narrative forms.
